can be one of the most frightening things to hear these days, Virus and Trojan
writers have evolved to the point that simply recieving the message from them
can infect your computer. This is why it is important to use reliable
commercially available Anti-Virus software. It is also a benefit to develope a
rule about handling mail from unknown sources, particularly those with
attachments.

You should be aware that there are a large number
of "hoaxes" claiming to be the "worst virus ever known"
often spread by well-meaning, but inadequately informed people. The best way not
to spread rumor or hoax information is to keep up on known/reported hoaxes. You
can check any of the following to quickly discover if the warning you got from a
friend/co-worker is real or not.
Much like the Firewall and
security market pitching it's products to consumers, the Anti-Virus industry
makes it's pitch and each one claims to be the "best, most
complete". Everyone (including myself) has their personal favorite,
either because of how well it works or how easy it was to use. The most
important issue remains... "How well does it protect?" and "how
often is there an update...and how do I get it?".
We'll list the variety of Commercial
Anti-Virus Vendors, related links to reviews on their product and offer our
